by Gail Allen What's your worth? Have you ever considered your worth? It's a hard thing to think about, isn't it? We're used to things having value or price tags. But worth...that's hard. I like to bargain shop and feel like I'm getting the best deal. What can I get the most of for the least amount of money? Sometimes I think that mindset trickles into our own lives. Oh, our families? They’re priceless, right?! To see your child, learning, and growing?...cost is irrelevant! For spouses to be relaxed, healthy, and happy?...whatever it takes!! Knowing that our parents or other loved ones are safe and protected?...how can I attach a price tag to that, Gail?! How about ourselves? Welllll...often, not so much! We tend to place ourselves in the lowest corner of the bargain clearance bin. Or at least I know I do. If we feel too good, too relaxed, too happy...we automatically feel guilty. Or is it just me? From talking to so many of you, I don't think so! Resolving pain and trauma, in our minds, should not feel good. And sometimes, maybe it should even be uncomfortable. But often, bringing back balance into our lives leads to healing. That's why I love what I do. Alternatives for pain and stress management that aren't surgery or medications? Yes! Sign me up for that! All day, everyday! Says everyone...until we realize...it's not necessarily a quick or easy fix and usually requires an investment of time and energy on our parts... and then we automatically feel guilty. We have to invest precious time or hard earned sweat equity into ourselves! It may even require us to be proactive, instead of reactive. We may need to look deep within ourselves to bring back things we would rather leave buried and hidden.
So I have a challenge for all of us. The next time a random body part on you hurts, the next time you feel stressed, overwhelmed, anxious, frustrated, or you just can't even ... I want you to ask yourself...am I ready to be healed? And if so...am I worth it? If the answer to both of these questions is a resounding yes, … Well great! You're on the way! If it's not, how about asking yourself what would it take for it to be a yes? And then let's talk. We have lots of ways here Audacious Wellness Academy to support you on your way to healing!
