The physical practice of yoga is a form of meditation, and its purpose is to unite the body, mind, and spirit. During the practice, the practitioner works to move into a deep and meaningful state of mindful awareness. By focusing the power of mindful attention, yoga encourages its practitioners to tap into an innate source of self-healing wisdom. Through the process of regular practice, practitioners learn to identify and regulate emotional states, foster resilience and cultivate balance in their relationships with themselves and others.
Kundalini yoga can be an extremely rewarding and beneficial practice for people looking to maximize their physical, spiritual, and mental well-being. Reiki is a form of energy healing that has been used for centuries to enhance physical, mental, and spiritual health. The word Reiki is derived from two Japanese words – “rei” meaning “universal life energy,” and “ki” meaning “vital energy flow.” Reiki is a combination of these two making it a form of energy healing. It is a holistic modality aiming to balance energy centers in the body. There is a common misconception that Reiki is based on supernatural forces, but it is more accurately understood as a system of natural healing

by Gail Allen What's your battery charge? So many times when I've had a bit of car trouble, I've never really seen it coming. When I haven’t left my lights on, and my battery has gone completely dead. In the rain. In the snow. When it can't- be- jumped- off- dead- battery dead. Triple- A- necessary dead battery dead. Got to replace the whole thing battery dead. Now clearly, those things don't happen just for leaving your car running for a few minutes, or your lights on, or charging your cell phone without turning your car on. That battery had been dying slowly and corroding. It should have been cleaned a long time ago, at the very least. I probably should have paid more attention on those cold mornings when it didn't seem to want to crank. You know -- hindsight 20/20 and all that jazz. A year ago It had to be jumped off, but I didn’t think any more about it.
by Danielle Schwartz How do you create lasting habits and be who you want to be?
We are into the new year! You may have decided to make a resolution or two… how is that going? I’ll be honest.. I didn’t make any. My new year started in a whirlwind and here we are… the 12th of January and I’ve not made a single resolution! So, off we go… Here’s my plan for the year ahead: by Gail Allen What's your worth?
Have you ever considered your worth? It's a hard thing to think about, isn't it? We're used to things having value or price tags. But worth...that's hard. I like to bargain shop and feel like I'm getting the best deal. What can I get the most of for the least amount of money? Sometimes I think that mindset trickles into our own lives. Oh, our families? They’re priceless, right?! To see your child, learning, and growing?...cost is irrelevant! For spouses to be relaxed, healthy, and happy?...whatever it takes!! Knowing that our parents or other loved ones are safe and protected?...how can I attach a price tag to that, Gail?! by Gail Allen Some time back, I accidentally drove straight into a tornado. And I live to tell the tale which I'm not sure how many people could do! My college friend and I spontaneously decided to have supper one night. No big deal, right? I didn't think so. All the way through my town, all the way to the interstate, the sky looked dark and there were some lightning strikes, but never any rain. Then right before I got on the interstate, the wind started picking up, but still nothing that made me feel overly cautious. Then, as soon as I merged onto the interstate, I was driving in hail. The wind was blowing so hard that my poor little Honda was shaking. Almost as hard as I was! I couldn't see anything except the tail lights of the car in front of me until I saw a tree literally flying across the road straight in front of me. We were all going about 25 mph and I was so grateful that the people in front of me had their flashers on and I could focus in on those lights. I remember trying to pray, but all I could do was breathe and keep going forward slowly.
