​A Somatic Approach to Chronic Overwhelm

You’ve tried deep breaths. You’ve tried thinking positive. Maybe you’ve even tried therapy, meditation apps, supplements, or medication.  And yet... the tight chest still comes. The racing thoughts. The shaky hands. The endless loop of what-ifs and should-haves. Here’s the truth no one tells you: anxiety isn’t just a mental issue—it’s a whole-body experience. And sometimes, your nervous system just needs a different kind of support.
Anxiety As a Body Signal, Not a Personal Failing

Many of the people I work with—especially those who are neurodivergent or have a trauma
history—come in saying things like:
“I feel like I’m always bracing for impact.”
“I just can’t seem to relax—even when nothing’s wrong.”
“It’s like my brain is running on high alert 24/7.”

That’s not a mindset problem. That’s a nervous system that’s stuck in survival mode. When you’ve lived through stress, trauma, sensory overload, or constant demands to mask who you are, your body adapts. It becomes hypervigilant—ready to run, freeze, fix, or feign safety to survive. And over time, that wiring can get stuck.
